“I should’ve done that, and I would’ve been happier.”

shoulda coulda woulda

“I wish I would have the strength to say it to my parents.”

“Oh my! I could’ve said that like this and I would’ve won the argument.”

Does this sound familiar to you?

We are all stuck in the trap of over thinking; giving reasoning more power than the actual actions. Over think actually should help you get rid of the problems and troubles that you face, or you could face in your life. However, if over thinking becomes your best friend and you keep on analyzing things from all angles and leave little room for action, you are doing your life wrong.

Often than not, if you get an opportunity, you keep on thinking regarding the influence that the situation could have on you and your near and dear ones. You dissect that to such a level that it seems like a negative situation. To add to that, if you are a pessimist, you constantly keep on playing these negative thoughts in the loop and do more harm to yourself and the opportunity you are about to take.

It is Always Better to Give it a Try than over think on What Could’ve Happened

Just imagine if your favorite player from the tennis team you support would’ve just taken the thought to play tennis for granted, the team would’ve been devoid of a good player.

There are no lesser examples of missed opportunities. Once you decide on what you want out of your life, it is upon you to realize it in your life to make it work for you in a positive manner. By giving it a try, you at least know what it is and how it is, rather than having a life full of regrets. You have experienced after taking up an opportunity that you can put to best use when you are to opt for another opportunity.

So, it is crucial for you to take opportunities as they are. Say no to being judgmental, no over thinking, no ifs and buts, and no nothing.

What are the Best Ways to Stop Thinking and Start Doing?

The best way to start acting is to give little from your thoughts and a lot more from your actions. Again, you should not make impulsive decisions.

Draw a fine line between thinking wisely and being impulsive regarding your decisions. Ensure that you distinguish between these two. A better way to distinguish between these two is to think if it fits your life goals. If it does, take up the opportunities without overanalyzing it.

On the other hand, if you think the opportunity doesn’t fit your goals, leave it there and then and move on with your life. Don’t go back to analyze how different your life would have been if you would have opted for the opportunity.

So, start leading a life you desire for today by following the—Actions over Words—ideology by letting go of the negatives.
