Nobody asks you how you wish to lead your life.

someone shortchanged me

You are always burdened with expectations that you have for yourself and others, and the purpose of your life takes a backseat. You constantly strive to please people around you. You try to undertake and accomplish things that you would have otherwise considered optional had you given importance to the life that you would wish to lead.

In such cases, you feel like you have nowhere to go to vent it out or unwind. You are stressed, guilty, remorseful, and have nothing to look forward to in your life.

This brings us to the question—Is this why you were sent to the Earth?

Are you just another being on the Earth with no purpose of your own?

If you feel you have no purpose in your life, you are leading a life of an animal—eat, drink, sleep, and run. In stark contrast to this, if you are chasing other people’s life goals, again, you are not justifying the purpose of your life.

Who did this to you? Society, in general.

Society short-changed you.

Expectations that the society has set for us are, in turn, cruel. Run, chase, deceive and eliminate whatever comes in your way to success. Of course, you cannot have a say in your very own life.

Things that are meant to be Chosen by You but You Didn’t Fight Enough

By birth, you are blessed with a family and special talents. You are a unique being, but society has a fixed format to live by. Go to school, go to college, do an MBA, get a job, get married, have kids, and by the time you have kids, you should have a car, a house, and a big paycheck.

If you are unable to meet these criteria, you are deemed unfit by societal standards. So, to fit in the normalcy of society, you become what you are not to do things that are not meant for you. After letting go of what you truly want from your life, you are left with absolutely nothing, and you feel short-changed by the society.

However, society is not to be blamed solely. You had to fight to protect your dreams and live up to the life that you would have wished for before creating a mess out of it.

Is it too late to go back?

It is true that you have come too far in your life by following what society had to say to you. Now that you feel lost, you wonder if you can ever go back to where you are meant to be and where you belong.

Let me tell you, you can go back at any point IN time. It is just a matter of a strong DECISION. You make a decision on how your life should be and stick to your decision even if it means fighting for it. It is your life and the key to it should lay in your hands.
